Character Bios are Live!
As promised, you can now officially create your character on oshi! Create an extensive, comprehensive bio for your character and show off your creativity and everything you love about your character!
Use small fields to provide little pieces of info about your character, and larger fields to go into detail. Completely modular-completely you! Show off your model and all your lore right on your profile ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
Comment Threading
As mentioned in the previous blog post, comment threading is officially live by popular demand! You can now reply to your own or other user's comments :3 Keep the discussion going without having to worry about unrelated comments getting in the way of your conversations.
Notifications
The need to manually check each post for comments is gone!Notifications have officially been added to oshi, and let you know when the discussion is happening!
It used to be impossible to know who liked your posts, or when someone commented on something you said, but now you can keep tabs on all of your stuff!
Reworked and Expanded Post Backgrounds
No more broken post backgrounds! Colors now work completely on all post types, with the option to select from one of the many pre-unlocked colors, or match the background of your profile. There's always more colors to unlock, so keep an eye on in-app events and rewards!
BRAND NEW Cosmetics System
We promised pretty early on that oshi would be a platform for users to express themselves, and we're here to deliver! Our complete cosmetics system is fully implemented, with a variety of free and paid cosmetics for you to unlock. Opportunities to win Activity Points and Star Power are on their way, so stay active in the community for a chance to unlock something for your profile that screams 'you'! Customize using profile decorations, profile frames, post backgrounds, badges, unique awards, epithets, and more! Your profile is completely yours <3
Quests are Live!
As a part of the new cosmetics system, quests are officially live! Get rewarded for posting, commenting, engaging, and spending time on oshi! Complete a bunch of quests? Win cool badges and show them off on your profile! Swag is coming, and we're excited for you to have it <3
Keep an eye out for specialty quests, events, and other ways to win AP and SP!
Images Aren't Getting Cut Off Anymore
In the mobile iteration of oshi, all the images you posted kept getting cut off in the weirdest places. Now, expanding an image post will actually show the whole post (and all the text and details you worked so hard on won't be unreadable)!
User Blocking / Reporting
Don't want to see another user's content? Tired of stuff you don't want to see taking up the feed? You can officially block them or report their content to us! No longer do you have to see anything you really don't want to. (plus, you can unblock users at any time!) :3

In-App Events!
We get it- prompt of the day was taking up a LOT of space on the feed and was kind of hard to interact with. That's why we're implementing In-App Events—a special way to engage with the community and win AP and SP! Our goal is to get the conversation going without getting in the way, and we're hoping a built-in events system will be a fun way to achieve that <3
Chats!
Now that the basic features are out of the way, in-app chats are the next BIG project we're planning on tackling. These require a bunch of complicated infrastructure we're in the middle of building. While we don't have a timeline on these yet, expect them soon.
Explore Feed!
Find new creators, see who's online, and meet new people! Oshi is all about discovery and meeting people who love the same stuff as you do, so the explore feed is near the top of the list for things we want to tackle.
New Quests, Cosmetics, Cosmetic Types, User Experience Tweaks!
We are always going to be adding new quests, cosmetics, cosmetic types, and little features to help make the user experience smoother.
We're building an app we actually want to and do use, so we want to keep updates exciting, but also functional. If something's not working, we probably feel it just like you do, and our goal is to fix it <3
