• Reports: information you provide when reporting content or other users.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use Oshi, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

• Device information: device type, operating system, device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, Android Advertising ID), and mobile network information;
• Log data: IP address, access times, pages or features viewed, app crashes, and other diagnostic data;
• Usage data: how you interact with the App, including which posts you view, like, comment on, or share, and how long you spend on the Platform;
• Location data: general location inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location unless you explicitly grant permission;
• Cookies and similar technologies: we and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and analyze how the App is used.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party services and partners, including:

• Analytics providers: such as Firebase (Google LLC), which provides aggregated and anonymized data about how users interact with the App;
• Apple App Store and Google Play Store: information related to your download or purchase history where applicable;
• Other users: information others provide about you when they report content, tag you in posts, or mention you in comments.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

2.1 To Provide and Operate the Service

• Create and manage your account;
• Enable you to post, view, like, comment on, and share content;
• Deliver direct messages between users;
• Personalize your experience and show you relevant content;
• Maintain the safety and security of the Platform.

2.2 To Improve and Develop the Platform

• Analyze usage patterns and trends to improve features and functionality;
• Conduct research, testing, and development of new services;

• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of our Platform.

2.3 For Marketing and Promotional Purposes

As described in our Terms and Conditions, we may use your publicly posted User Content, including your username, profile image, and posts, to market and promote Oshi and Oshi Labs across various media channels including social media, advertising campaigns, press materials, and partner channels. This use is royalty-free and does not require additional consent or compensation.

We may also send you promotional communications about Oshi, new features, and special offers. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or contacting us at team@oshi4ever.com.

2.4 For Safety and Legal Compliance

• Enforce our Terms and Conditions and Community Guidelines;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activity;
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations;
• Respond to lawful requests from law enforcement or government authorities;
• Protect the rights, property, and safety of Oshi Labs, our users, and the public.

2.5 To Communicate with You

• Send transactional messages such as account confirmations, password resets, and security alerts;
• Respond to your support requests or inquiries;
• Notify you of changes to our Terms, Privacy Policy, or other policies.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 With Other Users

Information you include in your public profile and any content you post publicly on Oshi is visible to other users of the Platform and may be viewed by anyone, including individuals not logged into the App. Direct messages are visible only to the intended recipient(s).

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party vendors and service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including:

• Cloud hosting and storage providers;
• Analytics providers, including Firebase (Google LLC);
• Customer support and communication tools;
• Security and fraud prevention services.

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as directed by us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:

• Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request;
• Enforce our Terms and Conditions or other agreements;
• Protect the rights, property, or safety of Oshi Labs, our users, or others;

3.4 Business Transfers

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. Specifically:

• Account data is retained for the duration of your account and deleted upon confirmed account deletion requests, subject to the exceptions below;
• User Content you delete is removed from public view promptly, though residual copies may remain in our systems for a limited period before permanent deletion;
• We may retain certain information for longer periods where required by law, to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention;
• Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you individually may be retained indefinitely for analytics and research purposes.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Account and Content

You may update or correct your account information at any time through the in-app settings. You may delete individual posts, messages, or other content you have shared on the Platform.

5.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Oshi account at any time via the in-app settings or by emailing us at team@oshi4ever.com. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with this Policy, subject to retention obligations described above.

5.3 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any such email or contacting us at team@oshi4ever.com. Note that we may still send you non-promotional communications related to your account and use of the Service.

5.4 Analytics Opt-Out

You may limit the collection of analytics data by adjusting your device's advertising settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android). Note that opting out of analytics does not affect the core functionality of Oshi.

5.5 California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell (we do not sell personal information);
• The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights;
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

5.6 EEA and UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

• Right to rectification: you may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;

6. Children's Privacy

Oshi is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a user under 16, we will take immediate steps to delete that information and terminate the associated account.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure server infrastructure, access controls, and regular security reviews.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

8. International Data Transfers

Oshi Labs is based in the United States. If you access Oshi from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

For users in the EEA or UK, where we transfer personal data to the United States or other countries not deemed adequate by the European Commission, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Oshi may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Platform.

Our use of Firebase (Google LLC) for analytics is subject to Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Our use of MixPanel for analytics is subject to MixPanel Inc's Privacy Policy, available at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this Policy and notify you via in-app notification or email where required by law. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

Your continued use of Oshi after any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
