welcome to the very first oshi dev blog post ^v^
every great app—especially one built around and for a community—needs great communication! from now on this is gonna be our corner for keeping you all in the loop :3
going forward, you can expect frequent updates from us featuring teasers about upcoming features, behind the scenes progress, anything that’s going live, and everything happening across the community! We’re excited about oshi, and we want YOU to be excited also!

a WEB APP is coming!!
it turns out that developing solely for the app store wasn’t exactly all we hoped it would be. Yes, it was easier, but soooo many vtubers have android devices or operate solely from their desktop.
so, to everyone asking for an android or web port, here you go! we’ve been hard at work rebuilding things from the ground up in a brand new language to make sure you can get in on the oshi action :>
PLUS here’s the fun part—we are now building with web in mind first! That essentially means it's gonna be our experimental branch, meaning we can push brand new features to it super fast without waiting on app store approval stuff. The phone version will get updated on a slower and more stable cycle, but generally be behind on features.
when it comes to web, updates are gonna be frequent frequent!!!! yay!!!
we’re looking for feedback on everything and this is going to be the first place to look for that. if u wanna see where oshi is headed before anyone else, this is the place to watch! <3

As a part of the web release, you'll be able to actually reply directly to a specific comment instead of everything living in one big pile. conversations are about to get so much easier to follow

waitlist update!!! we've got about 90 people waiting to get in rn, which is a whole lot of people who want to be on oshi but aren’t yet.
once the web app is officially live, we're going to be letting in 10-15 new users a week for the next few weeks!! so if you’re not in yet, you will be some.
